It is an egg less and oven less cake. One important tip for this cake is that the cake batter has to be thick and hence should not easily mix with other batter. Once the batter is combined, it has to be baked as it is, which eventually forms distinctive layering.

For making Vanilla batter recipe
- Sugar 1/2cup
- Oil 1/4cup
- Thick curd 1/2cup (or substitute with 2eggs)
- Vanilla essence 1/2tsp
- Flour 1cup
- baking soda 1/2tsp
- baking powder 1tsp
- water/milk 1/4cup
For making chocolate batter recipe
- Sugar 1/2cup
- Oil 1/4cup
- Thick curd 1/2cup (or substitute with 2eggs)
- Vanilla essence 1/2tsp
- Flour 1cup
- baking soda 1/2tsp
- baking powder 1tsp
- cocoa powder 2tbsp
- water/milk 1/4cup
செய்முறை :
- Make the vanilla batter by mixing the ingredients mentioned under the vanilla batter recipe using cut and fold method.
- Repeat the same procedure for making chocolate batter.
- Take a cake mold and grease it with oil and then add a butter paper.
- Now scoop 2 tbsp of vanilla cake batter and transfer to the cake mold.
- On top of vanilla cake batter, add 2 tbsp of chocolate cake batter.
- Alternatively, add vanilla and chocolate cake batter. allowing to spread naturally.
- Using a tooth pic, give a zig-zag swirl to get a nice design without disturbing the layers.
- Pat the mold twice to remove the air incorporated into the batter.
- Preheat a big kadai in medium flame for 10min and now place the cake mold with a wire stand inside the kadai and close the kadai.(or bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree celcius for 50 minutes )
- Allow the cake to cool completely and later cut into thick slices and serve.
- Yummy and tasty marble cake is ready to be served
