However, south Indian Kerala food recipe uses only these 3 main ingredients like rice ada, milk &amp; sugar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is Rice Ada?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Palada and &nbsp;Ada Pradhaman are the most loved deserts&nbsp;to end a Kerala feast with. &nbsp;The main ingredient of both&nbsp;payasam are wafers made of rice flour known as&nbsp; Ada. &nbsp;These are easily available in all markets, nowadays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ada, fresh rice noodles used to make kheers like palada or ada pradhaman. Traditionally a&nbsp; thin batter of rice flour is steamed just set and broken into flat noodle bits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to make Traditional Palada Payasam?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Traditional Palada Payasam Recipe | Palada Pradhaman <\/strong><\/strong>| with step by step photos &amp; video. Payasam prepared with palada (rice ada), a common sweet delicacy.  Traditionally, the process of making the dish is certainly laborious and time-consuming. All you need is patience. For this recipe, I will be using the ready-made rice ada. The pink color is the desired color of the palada payasam. The key secret for the recipe is slow cooking &amp; patience, which results in the desired color of the payasam. For a nice aroma we can use cardamom powder &amp; ghee. But these are optional too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Traditionally&nbsp;we don\u2019t use cashew nuts and raisins, so I have not used it in this recipe. If you prefer using you can, it will not harm the basic flavor.&nbsp;The perfect consistency for the Palada Payasam will be that if you draw a line on the ladle it should not join. Wash the rice palada and drain it off using a strainer. Keep it aside.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/desertfoodfeed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/palada_pradaman2.jpg\" class=\"direction-step-image\" alt=\"palada payasam | pradaman\" title=\"palada_pradaman2\" \/><\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-79\" class=\"direction-step\">I am preparing the payasam in a pressure cooker. Wash &amp; clean the cooker well before using the cooker.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-181\" class=\"direction-step\">Then add in 1.5 liters of full-fat milk to the cooker. For 100 gms of rice palada, 1.5 Liters of milk will be enough.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/desertfoodfeed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/palada_pradaman12.jpg\" class=\"direction-step-image\" alt=\"palada payasam | pradaman\" title=\"palada_pradaman12\" \/><\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-298\" class=\"direction-step\">Boil the milk over high or medium flame. Mix well &amp; boil the milk. Make sure it cooks in the same pressure without releasing the pressure. You can see the desired pink color &amp; consistency is obtained.
