Heat coconut oil in a pan &amp; add a sprig of curry leaves.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-544\" class=\"direction-step\">Shallow fry the fish on both sides in medium-high flame for 1 to 2min.Do not over-cook the fish.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"898\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/desertfoodfeed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/karimeen_pollichathu_mrkay.jpg\" class=\"direction-step-image\" alt=\"\" title=\"karimeen_pollichathu_mrkay\" \/><\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-641\" class=\"direction-step\">Remove the fish from the pan &amp; keep it aside.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-688\" class=\"direction-step direction-step-group\"><strong class=\"direction-step-group-title\">Masala Preparation<\/strong><\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-710\" class=\"direction-step\">Use the same oil for masala preparation.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-751\" class=\"direction-step\">Add 2 cups of sliced shallots\/thinly sliced onions to the hot oil.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"893\" height=\"464\" src=\"https:\/\/desertfoodfeed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/karimeen_pollichathu_k5a8e.jpg\" class=\"direction-step-image\" alt=\"\" title=\"karimeen_pollichathu_k5a8e\" \/><\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-818\" class=\"direction-step\">Add \u00bc tsp salt &amp; saute until shallots turn soft.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-867\" class=\"direction-step\">Now add in 2tsp finely chopped ginger &amp; 2tsp crushed garlic. Saute till onion turns to brown color.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"456\" src=\"https:\/\/desertfoodfeed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/karimeen_pollichathu_34jaA.jpg\" class=\"direction-step-image\" alt=\"\" title=\"karimeen_pollichathu_34jaA\" \/><\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-967\" class=\"direction-step\">Add in \u00bc tsp turmeric powder, 1tsp chili powder, \u00bd tsp pepper powder, \u00bd tsp coriander powder, \u00bd  tsp garam masala &amp; fresh curry leaves. Fry the masalas for 1 min.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/desertfoodfeed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/karimeen_pollichathu_7PTeN.jpg\" class=\"direction-step-image\" alt=\"\" title=\"karimeen_pollichathu_7PTeN\" \/><\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1130\" class=\"direction-step\">To get a nice color for the masala, add 1tsp Kashmiri chili powder &amp; mix well.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1209\" class=\"direction-step\">Now add in 1 medium-sized chopped tomato &amp; cook until it turns mushy.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"901\" height=\"453\" src=\"https:\/\/desertfoodfeed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/karimeen_pollichathu_HStma.jpg\" class=\"direction-step-image\" alt=\"\" title=\"karimeen_pollichathu_HStma\" \/><\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1279\" class=\"direction-step\">Then add \u00bc cup to \u00bd cup thick coconut milk to the masala mix. Fold from both sides.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1798\" class=\"direction-step\">Fold again on the top and bottom. Wrap well, you can use a banana fiber (vaazha naaru) to hold it.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"894\" height=\"462\" src=\"https:\/\/desertfoodfeed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/karimeen_pollichathu_amMXY.jpg\" class=\"direction-step-image\" alt=\"\" title=\"karimeen_pollichathu_amMXY\" \/><\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1898\" class=\"direction-step direction-step-group\"><strong class=\"direction-step-group-title\">Cooking Meen Pollichathu<\/strong><\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1926\" class=\"direction-step\">Heat some coconut oil in a tawa\/pan.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1963\" class=\"direction-step\">Place the prepared pockets on a pan and cook for 5-10 minutes on a low flame.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-2041\" class=\"direction-step\">Cover the pan with a lid and cook on both sides.
