Though they come in many shapes and sizes, they are most commonly hand-sized or smaller, with a round top and flat bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Buns are usually made from&nbsp;flour,&nbsp;sugar,&nbsp;milk,&nbsp;yeast&nbsp;and&nbsp;butter. Here we are going to see an eggless &amp; ovenless bun recipe. We are going  to bake these buns in 2 methods: using an idli plate &amp; using a pan. Luke warm milk activates yeast.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-199\" class=\"direction-step\">After 5min, add 2 cups of maida to the mixing bowl &amp; start mixing the dough initially using a fork &amp; then by hands.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-315\" class=\"direction-step\">Let&#8217;s start making the dough by adding 4tbsp lukewarm milk \/water in intervals. I am going to use water. Do not use 4tbsp water at a time. Knead &amp; add gradually.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-477\" class=\"direction-step\">Knead dough for 5 to 10 min &amp; dough will be soft &amp; smooth.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-536\" class=\"direction-step\">Add 1tbsp butter\/oil &amp; knead it once again for 5 min.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-590\" class=\"direction-step\">Let this dough rest for 1hr. Cover the bowl with a wet cloth.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-652\" class=\"direction-step\">After 1hr the dough has risen to double size. Now deflate the dough &amp; knead for another 5 min.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-747\" class=\"direction-step\">First divide the dough into 2 equal parts. From one part I am going to make 4 buns. Divide 1 part into 4 equal parts.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-865\" class=\"direction-step\">Now start rounding the dough pieces to round shape by pulling edges to top. Repeat this for all pieces of bun.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-976\" class=\"direction-step\">After rounding &amp; benching 8 pieces of the bun, we are going to bake.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1045\" class=\"direction-step\">Baking is done in 2ways:  we are going to bake 4buns in Tawa &amp; another four in idli plates.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1138\" class=\"direction-step direction-step-group\"><strong class=\"direction-step-group-title\">Baking using Idli Plate<\/strong><\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1165\" class=\"direction-step\">Take a pan &amp; place a steel plate\/wire stand in the pan. Place the idli plate over this plate.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1259\" class=\"direction-step\">Now grease the idli plate with butter &amp; place bun doughs. Grease butter\/oil over the bun.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1349\" class=\"direction-step\">Now close the lid of pan &amp; allow the dough to rise for 30min.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1411\" class=\"direction-step\">The dough will rise to double size. Once the dough has risen it&#8217;s ready to be baked. Now garnish the dough with white sesame seeds at this time.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1556\" class=\"direction-step\">Let us cover the idly plate using aluminum foil paper &amp; cover it with a weighted lid.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1642\" class=\"direction-step\">Cook it on a gas stove over low flame for 10 to 12 min.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1698\" class=\"direction-step\">Apply some butter on the bun for moist texture.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1746\" class=\"direction-step\">Our soft &amp; fluffy buns are ready.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1781\" class=\"direction-step direction-step-group\"><strong class=\"direction-step-group-title\">Baking in Pan<\/strong><\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1798\" class=\"direction-step\">Take a pan. Grease the pan with butter\/oil. Now place a butter paper over it &amp; grease paper with butter or oil.<\/li><li id=\"wpzoom-rcb-direction-step-1910\" class=\"direction-step\">Place the remaining 4 doughs over the baking paper, leaving space between each dough.
