Ingredients
- Ingredients of Wheat Puttu using boiled rice
1/2 cup wheat flour
1/4 cup boiled rice
salt as required or 1/8 tsp salt
3 to 4 tbsp grated coconut
- Ingredients of Wheat Puttu using Water
1 cup wheat flour
3 tbsp water
salt as required or 1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup grated coconut
Directions
- Wheat Puttu using boiled rice
- Take 1/2 cup of wheat flour, 1/4 cup of boiled red rice & salt as required in a mixie jar.
- Grind this for 10 seconds.
- Transfer it to a mixing bowl & add 2 tbsp of grated coconut. Mix them well. This step is completely optional. If you are not making immediately then do close the flour with a lid or it will turn dry.
- Fill the puttu mold by adding grated coconut and wheat flour one after the other. Do not squeeze it while filling.
- Steam for 10 minutes or until it is done. Once the steam starts to come out of the holes of puttu mold reduce the flame to medium and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
- Our healthy and delicious puttu is ready to be served.

- Take 1 cup of wheat flour, 3 tbsp water & salt as required in a mixie jar.
- Grind this for 10 seconds.
- Transfer it to a mixing bowl & add 2-3 tbsp of grated coconut. Mix them well. This step is completely optional. If you are not making immediately then do close the flour with a lid or it will turn dry.
- Fill the puttu mould by adding grated coconut and wheat flour one after the other. Do not squeeze it while filling.
- Steam for 10 minutes or until it is done. Once the steam starts to come out of the holes of puttu mold reduce the flame to medium and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
- Our healthy and delicious puttu is ready to be served.
