Homemade treats are the best kind! Not only to they taste better (in my opinion), but you can control the ingredients and put into them exactly what you want. Before you want to make this, using a grater collect some orange zest and keep it aside. Then section the orange and collect some fresh juice. Using a hand mixer mix everything until it turns smooth and creamy. Once made, transfer the ice cream to an air tight container. Cover and store in the freezer until it is set. I used a loaf pan and covered it with a cling film. It worked great.
If the ice cream becomes too hard, place in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes before serving so it can soften.
