Chicken Lava Recipe | Stuffed Chicken Fried Rice | with step by step photos and video. A Chinese sauce based dish which can be served as a main course. The shape of the dish represents a bowl of chicken and fried rice inside an omelette.

A little creative recipe which yields a perfect Chinese combo of chicken, rice and egg. Chicken and rice is incredibly simple, but amazingly versatile and totally delicious too.

If you have left over rice you can use that also. Then the chicken is marinated in salt, pepper and vinegar which is allowed to cook in the sauces. Additionally, saute the cooked rice in a veg and sauce combo. Once the chicken and rice is ready, assemble everything inside an omelette. Turn aside to obtain the lava shape.

The recipe seems to be little crazy but the output is gonna taste awesome. In each and every bite you can feel the chicken, omelette and rice with veggies. Nothing is missed out. Chicken Lava Recipe | Stuffed Chicken Fried Rice | with stepby step photos and video. A Chinese sauce based dish which can be served as a main course.

Ingredients

  • 250 gms Chicken (boneless and small-cut)

  • Chicken Marination
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp Pepper Powder

  • 1/4 tsp Salt

  • 1/4 tsp White Vinegar

  • For Cooking Rice
  • 2 cups of Basmati Rice

  • Salt as required

  • 1 litre Water or as required

  • Chicken Masala
  • 2 tsp Olive Oil or Vegetable Oil

  • 2 tsp Finely chopped Garlic

  • 2 tsp Finely Chopped Ginger

  • 2 Green Chilies Finely Chopped

  • 1 Medium-Sized Onion Finely Chopped

  • 1/4 tsp Salt

  • 1 to 11/2 tsp Chili Flakes

  • 1 tsp Soya Sauce

  • 2 tsp Honey

  • 1 tsp Sugar + a pinch of salt (optional)

  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup of Water

  • Preparing Rice
  • 2 tsp Olive Oil or Cooking Oil

  • 1 Pod of Garlic Finely Chopped

  • 1 tsp Ginger Finely Chopped

  • 1 Green Chili Finely Chopped

  • 1 tbsp Capsicum Seeds

  • 1/4 cup Cabbage Thinly Sliced

  • 1/4 cup Carrots Thinly Sliced

  • 1/4 cup Capsicum Thinly Sliced

  • 1/4 tsp Salt

  • 1/4 tsp pepper Powder

  • Preparing Chicken Lava
  • 1 to 2 tsp Oil

  • 1 Egg

  • 1/4 tsp Salt

  • 1/4 tsp Pepper Powder

Directions

  • Firstly, wash and clean 250 gms of boneless chicken pieces.Chicken Lava
  • Marinate the pieces in 1/4 to 1/2 tsp Pepper Powder, 1/4 tsp Salt, and 1/4 tsp White Vinegar.Chicken LavaChicken LavaChicken LavaChicken Lava
  • Then, soak 2 cups of basmati rice or any other variety rice in water for 10 minutes.Chicken LavaChicken Lava
  • Once soaked, drain the rice. Cook the rice separately in 5 to 6 cups of water along with salt as required.
  • Once the rice is cooked drain the excess water and keep it aside.
  • Preparing Chicken Masala
  • Heat 1 to 2 tsp oil in a pan.Chicken Lava
  • Followed by 2 tsp finely chopped garlic and ginger. Saute until they are roasted well.Chicken LavaChicken Lava
  • Now add 2 green chilies finely chopped. Mix them well.Chicken Lava
  • Add 1 medium sized onion finely chopped and salt required for onion alone. Saute until the onion turns translucent.Chicken Lava
  • Once the onion is sauted add 1 tsp chili flakes, 1 tsp soya sauce and 2 tsp honey. Mix them well.Chicken LavaChicken LavaChicken Lava
  • For the flavor of Ajinomotto add 1 tsp sugar and a pich of salt.Chicken Lava
  • Mix and add the marinated chicken pieces. Coat them well in the masalas.Chicken Lava
  • Saute until the chicken turns its color from pink to white over a high flame.Chicken Lava
  • Then add 1/2 to 3/4 cup of water, mix well. Cover and cook until chicken is cooked well and water is dried off completely.Chicken LavaChicken LavaChicken Lava
  • This step is completely optional. Now add 2 tsp green or red chili sauce and 1 jalapeno. Mix well and switch off the flame.Chicken LavaChicken LavaChicken Lava
  • Preparing Rice
  • On the same pan heat 2 tsp olive oil.Chicken Lava
  • Add 1 small clove of garlic finely chopped & 1 tsp ginger finely chopped. Saute over a high flame.Chicken Lava
  • Once the raw smell disappears, add 1 green chili finely chopped and 1 tbsp capsicum seeds. Saute for 10 seconds.Chicken LavaChicken Lava
  • Followed by 1/4 cup thinly sliced cabbage, carrots and capsicum. Add 1/4 tsp salt and 1/ tsp pepper powder. Mix and saute for 1 minute.Chicken LavaChicken Lava
  • Now add the cooked rice. Give a nice mix and combine them well. Now our rice is also ready.Chicken LavaChicken Lava
  • Preparing Chicken Lawa
  • Heat 1 to 2 tsp oil in a pan.Chicken Lava
  • Mix an egg with 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper. Add the egg mix to the hot pan. Reduce the flame to low. Add 3 to 4 tbsp chicken masala over the omelette followed by 1 cup of rice. Spread the rice over the masala. Switch off the flame & transfer it to a plate upside down to get a lava shape.Chicken LavaChicken LavaChicken LavaChicken Lava
