Dosas are prepared usually from the fermented batter of lentils or black gram and rice. Dosas can be prepared either crisp and thinner, or thicker and softer with the same batter, to call it set dosa.  Furthermore, adding onions & green chilies make it uthappam.

A properly made crisp and savory Indian dosa is wonderfully delicious, and with a traditional spicy potato filling, dosas make a perfect vegetarian breakfast or masala dosa. There is numerous count of dosa types. A typical part of diets throughout South India, but the dish is now popular all over the Indian subcontinent.
