Making dry roasted peanuts in an air fryer is incredibly simple, resulting in uniformly browned and perfectly cooked nuts without the need for any added oil. It’s an ideal way to prepare a healthy snack.

Air frying raw peanuts has become my preferred method for preparing them at home, consistently delivering perfectly roasted results each time. It’s effortless and ready in less than 10 minutes, making it a quick and easy option. Using an air fryer to roast raw peanuts surpasses the traditional skillet method by eliminating the need for constant supervision and stirring.

Serving Suggestions:

Here are some serving suggestions for these air-fried roasted peanuts:

  • Enjoy them as a snack, either savory or sweet.
  • Use them as a topping for salads, soups, or pasta dishes.

Tips & Variations:

  • Cook in batches: Ensure that the raw peanuts are spread out in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. If necessary, cook in multiple batches.
  • Shake the basket halfway: To promote even cooking, remember to shake the basket halfway through the cooking process.
  • Cooking time may vary: The precise cooking time can differ depending on the specific air fryer being used. Adjust accordingly for optimal results.
  • All you need for this recipe is raw peanuts. The regular ones with skin are fine.

Seasoning:

If you prefer seasoning, place the roasted peanuts in a large bowl. Mix a small amount of oil and salt until the peanuts are evenly coated. Adjust the salt to taste, if necessary. Serve once cooled, or store them in an airtight container. I find it preferable to apply seasoning after the roasting process. This prevents the spices from burning and enhances their flavor.

Firstly, add the raw peanuts to the air fryer basket and spread them out evenly in the basket. Fry them for 3 minutes at @160 degrees. Shake them well & again fry them for 4 minutes at @160 degrees. Even without preheating the fryer before cooking, I was able to achieve perfect results.

The timing may vary depending on the quantity of peanuts you’re using. In my experience, frying peanuts in smaller batches produces optimal results. These peanuts are delicious even without any seasoning, not even salt.
